Something to think about:

I was visiting with two very special friends, one from Tunisia and the other from Algeria.  They are both converted to Christianity from the Muslim world.  They are both great ministers of our God. They told us that if the United States kicked God out of the government, it would descend into chaos.  They said we are seeing that in other countries, and are starting to see it here.

Certainly we can see that our leaders cannot figure out how to even get along, let alone how to solve our problems.

I believe the above is correct, we need God in our lives and government.  Lord do what only You can do!!  We need you!!

What does God want from us?

To know Him.  When we know Him, we will love Him.  When we love Him, we will abide with Him.

AND??

For His kindgom to come.  For His will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Lord, Let us be a part of Your Kingdom on earth.

Ephesians 3:16-19  I bow my knees before the Father, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth of love, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

The Name Sandy

Another person mentioned the coincidence of the name Sandy, referring Hurricane Sandy and the school named Sandy Hook.  So I looked up the name of Sandy.  It comes from Alexander or Sandra.

I found these meanings:

"Defending men"

"Unheeded prophet"

"God protects."

"Defender of mankind"

Could there be a message here?
